At what phase of your study are you (MA/PhD)?

I wouldn't worry too much about not being entirely satisfied, I think that's common to everyone.
To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them.

    Just finished MA.

It no doubt is common. There's also a bittersweet feeling of being done with something. In my case it was as if the project was over just when the interesting part began. Still, I got a good result, so I'm reasonably happy.

Congratulations on the good result. And although I know all too well it's very different once the pressures of completing a study are lifted, you can still get the new ideas in the work and send it in for publication somewhere, or perhaps even use it as the basis for a PhD if you intend to continue in academia.

Just fyi, I've been swamped with work over the past few days so haven't been posting much. Will be preoccupied for a little while longer.

I'm fine, even have some grass (the interesting kind) here.

It was a planned operation to remove all of that junk in the jar from my face. Which was put in to stabilize my new jaw structure (I had facial corrective surgery last year).

    This is amusing:

Legacy preference or legacy admission is a preference given by an institution or organization to certain applicants on the basis of their familial relationship to alumni of that institution, with college admissions being the field in which legacy preferences are most controversially used. (Students so admitted are referred to as legacies or legacy students.) Regarding college admissions, legacy admissions are practiced almost exclusively at American colleges and universities and are virtually unheard of in post-secondary institutions in other countries around the world. Legacy preferences in elite college and university admissions in the U.S. are widespread: almost three-quarters of research universities and nearly all liberal arts colleges grant legacy preferences in admissions.

So once upon a time there was this paranoid schizophrenic woman who was making all this noise and scaring all the sponges on the ocean floor. It was a broad ocean, an acre at least. Maybe a hectare even. In any case, you could fit a lotta hares on that land. That's not to speak of the hairs or the heirs, but now I'm gettin' ahed o' meeself.

    I should read more literature.

    Einstein on marxology:
"In the realm of the seekers after truth there is no human authority.
Whoever attempts to play the magistrate there founders on the laughter of the Gods."
